What is contributory negligence or comparative responsibility and how does it affect my Florida bicycle injury claim?

Video Transcription:

We used to have, in Florida, contributory negligence, which meant that if the claimant was 1% negligent he had no claim, but I think it was in 1973 we changed to comparative negligence, which means claimant could be 10% and the defendant driver 90%, or 50/50, or 70/30, but it’s based on percentages nowadays.
